Medical shops and labs offering low-cost services to be set up in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation; contractual procedures in the final stages.
Thiruvananthapuram: The contractual process for an initiative to establish medical shops—offering medicines at a 50% discount—across all 101 wards of the Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation, along with laboratories in 50 of these wards, is now in its final stages. Once HLL signs the agreement and the project is formally handed over, the path will be cleared for subsequent implementation steps. The objective of the project is to provide city residents with access to medicines and laboratory testing facilities at a significantly lower cost.
